A few phrozen photos from my morning’s walk. 9 degrees F, but dead still,  clear and bright and quiet. A lovely outing.  A few phrozen photos from my morning’s walk. 9 degrees F, but dead still,  clear and bright and quiet. Photos from yesterday’s walk (with apologies to @davidquigg).
That dramatic overcontrasted view of the sledding hill? Psychologically, that’s totally what it actually looks like. Worn, dark, dirty, fugly. Photos from yesterday’s walk (with apologies to @davidquigg).

Three months ago, on a ski in the first fine snow of the season, just after Christmas, I tore my hamstring badly skiing down this ravine. (This photo looks up the ravine.) I came back to shoot it in the rain and try to get the fog floating cupped down in the ravine. Didn’t quite — but walked out fine this time. Last time, left on a snowmobile.
